Will my auto insurance reimburse me for the towing charges?
Many insurance policies include towing provisions.  You will need to check your policy or contact your agent to find if you are eligible for reimbursement.

What forms of payment do you accept?
American Express, Discover, MasterCard and VISA.

Do you provide storage facilities? 
We do provide short term storage of vehicles.  Pricing will depend on the particular vehicle and length of time you will need it stored.

I have an all wheel drive vehicle.  Should it be towed on a flatbed trailer?
No, conventional tow trucks are equipped to lift all four wheels off the ground for towing.

What should I do while waiting for the tow truck to arrive?
Most importantly you should make sure that your vehicle is far enough off the road that it will not impede the flow of traffic or be at risk of being hit by passing vehicles.  

Once you are safely away from traffic, you should turn on your hazard lights. If you have flares or warning triangles, you should place them on the roadside to warn other drivers.

If you have been involved in an accident and require medical attention, you should immediately call 911 to request assistance.  You should then contact your insurance company to begin the claim process.

You should gather up all personal belonging you do not want left in the vehicle.   Depending on your surroundings you may want to wait in a nearby building until the truck arrives.  If you choose to do this, make sure to keep your vehicle in sight while you wait.

How often should I change my oil?
Regular oil should be changed every 3,000 miles, and synthetic oil should be changed every 5,000 miles. Changing your oil once a month is good maintenance practice.

What should the tire pressure be on my car?
It should always be set by the tire manufacturer’s suggested PSI (pound per square inch) pressure specs. These specs are listed on the side of your tire.

How often should I check my anti-freeze?
Checking your anti-freeze once a month is good practice.

How long do spark plugs last?
This depends on the type of spark plugs that are in your vehicle. Vehicles that are 15 years or older typically have standard plugs with a life expectancy of 12,000 to 15,000 miles. Newer model vehicles up to 2000 usually last 30,000 miles, and 2001 and newer model vehicles come with plugs that can last up to 90,000 miles.

How often should I change the timing belt on my car?
You should refer to your owner’s manual regarding exact mileage details for timing belt maintenance. If you are unsure of your need to replace the timing belt, you should consult one of our mechanics for a diagnosis.
